Review: Thursday Plantation Body Care
Wednesday 4 January 2017
I was recently sent a bunch of Thursday Plantation goodies that are perfect for this Australian summer. I have tried Thursday Plantation's shampoo in the past and loved it, so I was excited to test these products out!
Thursday Plantation is an Australian company that has for almost forty years been opening people’s eyes to the restorative power of nature’s oils. Today, Thursday Plantation offers a unique range of health and beauty products, all derived from nature’s oils, to restore your skin to its healthiest.
From relieving skin abrasions to restoring radiant, healthy looking skin, Thursday Plantation has you and your family’s health and beauty needs covered.
Thursday Plantation believe in the pure power of plant oils to restore your skin. Therefore their range does not contain synthetic parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES), or harsh detergents. All of their products are also free from animal testing.
Their products are made and tested to a high standard and are ideal for the whole family to use.
Aloe Vera Gel
A natural moisturiser and emollient extracted from the Aloe vera plant, Thursday Plantation Aloe Vera Gel is an essential to have in your medicine cabinet. Contains 97.4% fresh Aloe vera, unscented and non-greasy for all over body care, and readily absorbed.
This gel has come in handy for those times I have accidently indulged in too much sun. It instantly soothes any burning and calms my skin. This is also great for relief of minor burns, insect bites, chafing rashes and other minor skin irritations. This comes in a handy little tube that would fit easily into a handbag or backpack.
Tea Tree Deodorant
Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Deodorant is aluminium free and provides protection against odour causing bacteria to help keep you fresh and dry.
This is a great natural deodorant for those avoiding aluminium. It is not an antiperspirant, so you will still sweat, but this will keep odour at bay. It combines the antibacterial power of Tea Tree Oil with astringent Horse Chestnut, purifying Sage Leaf and Horsetail extracts, freshening Rosemary and soothing Chamomile to naturally neutralise odour causing bacteria. This is safe to use everyday, even straight after shaving, and won't irritate skin. If you love tea tree and fresh herbal scents you will love this!
Walkabout Insect Repellant
Tea Tree Walkabout Insect Repellent provides protection against biting insects and flies.
This is a perfect product for those summer nights when you find yourself outside later than usual, basking in the last rays of the day or BBQing. One positive to the Tassie summer taking longer to arrive than usual is that the mozzies and insects are taking longer this year to make their appearance, so I have barely needed to use this, thankfully. I do like a natural repellent for protecting against insects, and love that this uses Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Oil), Lemon scented Tea Tree Oil (Leptospermum Petersonii Leaf Oil) and Citronellal to repel insects.
Tea Tree Antiseptic Spray
Combining the antibacterial and antifungal power of Tea Tree Oil with the soothing benefits of Aloe vera, this spray provides symptomatic relief to minor wounds and skin abrasions and tinea.
This is a product everyone should keep in their first aid kits and handbags. I am quite clumsy and have a habit of knocking my legs and arms on things and scraping skin off. I find when I use this my wound doesn't get infected like it usually does. I love how this is in a spray so you don't have to actually touch your wound (ouch!)
