Review: Flora and Fauna Spring Beauty Box

Hi guys, sorry it's been so long since I last posted a review. Today I thought I would give you a glimpse into one of my most recent purchases; The Spring Beauty Box by Flora and Fauna! I was looking for a beauty box that only contained natural beauty brands and that shipped to Australia, when I stumbled upon Flora and Fauna. Flora and Fauna are an online Australian store that craft seasonal beauty boxes (and vegan ones too!), to give you the opportunity to discover and sample products and brands you haven't tried before. What I really like about Flora and Fauna is the fact that they are not a subscription service; you pay for each box and don't have to worry about cancelling or getting a box you don't want. Each box contains 6-8 products; including at least one full-size product, and the value is much greater than the $30 you pay. For instance, this Spring's box contains over $80 value, yet you only pay $30.

Below I will detail the contents of the Spring Box and my first thoughts:

  • Kosmea SPF 30 Moisturising Lotion (full size) - I admit that this is the product that got my finger pressing the 'buy now' button. This product is valued at $44.95 and is one that I have been meaning to try for years due to its rave reviews and high SPF content. I have used this once so far and was surprised to see that it is a beige-ish colour, but rubs in to my skin clear. It applied easily and didn't seem thick or shiny like most natural SPF products. Fingers crossed!
  • Vanessa Megan Perfume in Darling (sample) - I have been curious about Vanessa Megan for a while now and this perfume is the perfect introduction to the line. I confess I haven't actually smelt it properly yet; I have the flu and can't smell anything! Looking forward to trying it out when I can actually enjoy it ;)
  • Adorn Cosmetics Illuminiser (sample) - Illuminiser was a product I had never put much thought into until I received this. I'm starting to think that this is something I need in my life! I applied this and got the most amazing glow.
  • Tula Naturals Ultra Nourishing Serum (trial) - Tula Naturals is another new-to-me brand, but I am looking forward to trying this oil out. It contains rosehip oil, calendula, carrot seed, sea buckthorn, chia seed oil and much more, and is suited at my dry skin. It is also a large enough size for me to determine if it works with my skin too.
  • EcoTools Moisturising Gloves (full size) - These gloves are perfect for me; I love applying thick moisturiser and slipping gloves on for a treatment.
  • Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream (sample) -This was enough for one use and left my hands feeling very very soft and hydrated, with a strong citrus scent.
  • Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream (sample) - I haven't tried this or any products by Dr Hauschka before, so I am curious. Will report back.
