Review: Hello Im Roar Camelia Detox Serum & Leave In Conditioner

I was recently introduced to Hello Im Roar through Instagram, and I fell in love. Hello Im Roar are an Australian skincare company that are 100% vegan, cruelty-free and toxin free. All of their skincare goodies are handmade with natural ingredients, and are free of parabens, petrochemicals and artificial ingredients. They carry a wide variety of products; from skincare to pet-friendly hair care, and are incredibly affordable. I was sent two products to try out, and will share my thoughts on both below.

Camelia Detox Serum

Boost Radiance & Even Skin Tone. Reduce discolouration, hyper pigmentation and post acne spots. The light texture of this serum helps it to absorb quickly into the skin for an instantly soft and smooth complexion. Daily use before moisturising will show a noticeable improvement to lines, wrinkles and overall skin texture after 30 days. Support skin’s inherent healing capabilities to minimise the appearance of irritations and blemishes. This lightweight, quickly absorbed facial oil is designed to reduce flakiness and surface dehydration. A few drops used twice daily under your moisturizer will improve the texture and hydration of the skin. Very gentle and non-irritating, even on the most sensitive skin.

I actually use abut 6-7 drops of this, instead of the recommended two. This is because I use it alone, to hydrate my entire face after applying a retinol or acid serum. As it is such an affordable product (50mls for $30!), I don't feel guilty being heavier-handed. I find I don't need to use a toner mist beforehand, as the water included in the formulation is more than enough to help it spread easily and evenly around my face. It gives my skin an instant boost of hydration and such a healthy skin glow. It is so lightweight, and completely non-oily unlike many serums, likely due to the water it contains. As someone that suffers from post acne scarring and pigmentation, I appreciate a serum that aims to improve these issues. And it does what it promises for me, and quickly! My acne marks seem to decrease in redness in a matter of days, not weeks. This serum does not exacerbate my acne, which is always a concern when treating pigmentation/scarring with active acne still present.

Sweet Orange & Rosewood Leave In Conditioner

Key Function: Repair and restore, reduce frizz, increase color retention
Our vegan and paraben-free formula is versatile enough to tame a spectrum of hair types, from straight to curly, and fine to super thick. It detangles and adds shine, and is also safe for chemically treated or colored hair. An intensive treatment for hair that has been compromised by color or bleach processing, heat styling, or environmental factors. Highly effective for smoothing coarse, curly or frizz-prone hair. Leaves hair bouncy, shiny and silky no matter its previous condition.

This is one of Hello I'm Roar's best selling products and I can see why. This product has the lightest consistency; which makes it perfect for my fine hair! It doesn't leave my hair greasy, sticky, or weighed down with product. This conditioner leaves your hair feeling like your hair, only detangled and more manageable. This product only has a very faint scent which makes it perfect for those of us that are sensitive to smell. I use this to detangle my hair; spraying liberal amounts to knotty areas. I love how this is affordable for anyone at $12 for a huge bottle.
