L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation Review

The L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation is a great example of how much later new makeup launches in Australia, compared to the US. Although the US have long been loving and raving over this foundation, and have since moved on to newer things, it has only recently launched 'Down Under'.
After trialling for a few months now, I wanted to share my thoughts on this foundation, and how I find it for super dry skin.

I should start by saying that I always prep my skin before applying foundation, whether that be applying primer or just a rich moisturiser. I find that foundation just naturally sits much better on super dry, flaky skin when it is properly hydrated. I also generally use a makeup sponge to apply my foundation, as I find it gives me a much more flawless finish than using a brush.

The foundation comes in a plastic squeezy tube, and is easily dispersed as it is quite runny in consistency. I received the lightest shade; 201 in PR, and have since repurchased the same shade as it matches my pale skin so well.

I apply this foundation with my beauty sponge and love how lightweight it feels on the skin. Despite the thin texture, this foundation can be built up to a medium coverage if needed.

The finish on my skin is fairly flawless, despite the dry flakiness that is my skin. Concealer is needed to fully cover blemishes, but that isn't a big deal as I don't go for full coverage foundations generally. This foundation gives a healthy sheen to my skin that isn't overly dewy. As a super dry gal, I reach for my dewier foundations on my driest days, and reserve this for my better skin days, as it isn't as hydrating as some of my other options. Saying that, it still looks and feels beautiful on my skin, and is one of the better foundations I have tried.

This foundation has an alcohol scent, but I haven't found it to irritate my sensitive skin at all, and the scent dissipates quickly.

I typically don't set my foundation with powder, and I found that this one held up well without setting, and didn't break up or go cakey throughout the day. In fact, this is one of those rare foundations that seems to look better as the day goes on!

Overall, I think that it is a foundation worth checking out if you can find a good shade match. It is one of my faves and I have already repurchased. I also think that it would work well on all skin types, as it works on my skin, and I have heard some rave reviews from those with oily skin!
