Review: Mad Hippie Face Cream

It is no secret that I am obsessed with Mad Hippie's skin care products. In fact, I use four of their products daily, and refuse to live without them in my life. I was recently sent their face cream and I have been using it for long enough now to know that this is another product I will be adding to my skincare arsenal. Keep reading below for my thoughts on why I love this moisturiser.

Mad Hippie's Face Cream is a moisturiser designed for all skin types that is packed to the brim with peptides and actives, and formulated to kick-start collagen production while Mother Nature’s best antioxidants neutralize aging free radicals. It comes as a light white cream packed in a 30ml recyclable airless plastic pump dispenser. It has a light, sweet fruity scent which disappears quickly after applying.

Onto the ingredients! Mad Hippie's Face Cream contains 12 active ingredients that totally make me swoon. Mad Hippie's Cream contains Matrixyl 3000; a peptide that naturally aids in the production of collagen & elastin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and giving skin a “lifting” effect. Syn-Tacks is a dual peptide that was also employed in this cream to help tone & firm the skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. One of my favourite ingredients; CoQ10 is included to reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles by energizing skin cells, while also working to inhibit free radical damage. Resveratrol and Green Tea are two super potent antioxidants also included that help reduce the appearance of wrinkles & protect the skin from the effects of photoaging. Vitamin B3 helps even skin tone and reduce signs of aging. Pomegranate, acai berry, grape seed extract, aloe vera, coconut oil and argan oil are some of the other amazing ingredients boasting impressive skin benefits.

Full Ingredients: Water Deionized, Safflower Oil (Carthamus Tinctorius), Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Niacinamide, Matrixyl 3000, Argan Oil, Syn-Tacks, Pomegranate Seed Oil (Punica Granatum), Green Tea Extract (Camelia Sinensis Polyphenols), Grape Seed Extract (Vitis Vinifera), Acai Berry Extract, Sodium PCA, Resveratrol, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Vitamin E Acetate, Coenzyme Co Q10, Tocotrienol 40, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Steam Distilled Lime Extract.

This cream is light and quickly absorbed, but hydrating. I find that at the moment I have to use a few drops of a facial oil with it as it is currently winter and my skin is SOOOO dry. However, I feel as the weather warms up this moisturiser will be fine used alone. It is the perfect cream for morning and night use and leaves my skin so smooth. I also haven't noticed this causing any breakouts or clogged pores, which is amazing as creams tend to clog my pores a lot.

I am going to start using this around my eyes as I have a few fine lines appearing, and I will keep you updated with my results. I don't really have many wrinkles on my face so I can't speak of this cream reducing those, but I can say that if you are looking for a cream to fight wrinkles, this would be a great one due to the proven ingredients it contains.
