Review: Hello Hair

I was lucky to be recently sent a package full of goodies from Hello Hair to test out and share my thoughts. It is no secret that Hello Hair makes some of the best hair treatments out there, and I already have a review on their original hair mask on my blog (link here) professing my love for it and the results it gives. I thought today I would share my opinions on the products I received and if they will become permanent staples in my haircare routine.

Hello Hair is a brand that I have long held space for in my heart, from their range of masks and shampoo and conditioner duo to their hair care tools, including their silk pillowcase, brush and hair wrap! I love the short but effective ingredient lists that the masks boast, and the fact that they are 100% natural and vegan friendly!

I received the Hydrating Island Escape Edition Hair Mask, Detangling Brush, and Hair Towel Wrap.

Hydrating Island Escape Edition Hair Mask
I was curious at what the difference between this hair mask and the original would be. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this mask has a lime and coconut fragrance and different oils such as pomegranate seed oil, which deeply hydrates and nourishes hair. As I have long hair, I obviously had to use more product than somebody with short hair, but I found that a little went a long way. The product comes out as a thick paste that quickly melts with the temperature of your skin into a runny oil. It applies easily into dry hair, and is recommended to be left for as long as possible before washing your hair. I find washing with shampoo twice really helps ensure no excess oil is left behind. After washing my hair, I notice that my hair is much less knotted, has a greater shine, and my hair just generally looks healthier.
This mask would be a great product to start using straight after a haircut to help maintain the health of your hair. Tiny amounts can also be used as a leave in serum to reduce frizziness and dry ends.

Lets look at the ingredients (and their benefits) within the Hydrating Hair Mask!

Pomegranate Seed Oil is a super serum that revitalises and strengthens hair to make it stronger, more lustrous and healthier. Pomegranate Seed Oil is known to also increase blood circulation to the scalp, and strengthen the blood vessels, to promote healthy growth. It's an essential in battling flaky and itchy scalp, and naturally combating hair fall, dullness, dryness and thinning of the hair.

Grapeseed Oil is a light and non-greasy ingredient that penetrates the scalp to provide great moisturising benefits. It spreads effortlessly over the full length of each hair strand and cuticle to seal the moisture and protect it from any damaging environmental and styling elements.

Coconut Oil
helps recover damaged hair; adding luster, shine and softness to dry and stressed out hair. By preventing hair breakage and split ends, you'll be helping your hair to grow and grow and grow! Hello Hair uses 100% virgin organic Coconut oil.

Argan Oil hydrates hair, making it great for controlling manes that are unruly and damaged. It is also packed with Vitamin E and natural anti-oxidants which are real hair pleasers.

Olive Oil loves to smooth split ends, reduce static, control dandruff and smooth the hair cuticle; making it a welcome ingredient to improve the overall health of your hair and scalp.

Olive Leaf Extract is anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial by nature. The olive leaf extract in Hello Hair is extremely rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals; so it repairs, strengthens, hydrates and protects your hair.

Castor Oil is a great source of omega-9 fatty acids, which benefit the roots and scalp by preventing drying of the hair. Hair growth is the obvious result of hydrating your hair with ingredients like Castor Oil.

Hello Hair Detangling Brush
This is the first detangling brush I have tried, and it's quickly replaced my regular hair brush! As someone with super long hair, I am prone to knots galore. This brush gently detangles even the toughest knots without snapping, stretching or pulling my hair. I love that this helps reduce damage to hair while brushing, and also the fact that this brush pulls out less hair compared to others I have tried. It can also be used to lightly massage the scalp to promote hair growth. The brush is completely waterproof so it can also be taken into the shower to use on freshly washed hair.

Hello Hair Towel Wrap
This handy hair wrap can be worn over the top of your hair mask treatment, or on wet hair straight out of the shower. Made from a combination of cotton and bamboo, this wrap is great to dry hair without causing any fluffiness or frizziness that a regular towel can. I prefer to use this post shower on freshly washed hair, but those wanting to keep their masked tresses up and out of the way can use this washable hair wrap, and just ensure they wash it on a warm cycle with a scoop of baking soda to help lift residual oils.

I loved everything I had the chance to try from Hello Hair, and will keeping these products in my regular hair routine (the brush on a daily basis!).
