For a while now I have been utterly obsessed with highlighting products. In fact, if I could only use two makeup products they would probably be lipstick and highlighter. I have only just begun to delve into the world of highlighters, and I have already found a couple that are worth a mention. Today, I thought I would talk about a product I picked up from Mecca a few months ago and am seriously loving: Nars Illuminator in Copacabana.
I decided to buy Nars' Illuminator as it is a cult favourite in the beauty community, and I had just read a rave review by fellow beauty blogger Lisa Wood. I was on a trip away from home, had just entered my first Mecca store (AKA beauty heaven), and obviously couldn't resist purchasing some goodies.
This highlighter comes as a thick liquid in a glistening pearl shade that is suitable for light and medium skin tones. Copacabana is intensely pigmented and can produce a subtle or stronger effect on the skin depending on the amount used. I personally prefer a highlighter that is stronger and visible, and this one gives me the strongest effect out of all I have tried so far! It also lasts all day on me, and stays where I apply it.
I find I only need the tiniest amount of this highlighter. I apply with my fingers to my cheekbones, around my brown bone, cupids bone, down the bridge of my nose, and occasionally on my collarbones. This highlighter is also incredibly versatile as it can be mixed in your liquid foundation to give an all-over glow!

I find the quality of this product top-notch and I appreciate the clear packaging as I know when I am getting low (although I think the 30ml size will last quite a while!). Nars is a higher end beauty brand, and I know that many beauties are turned off by the cost, but this is a product I would recommend investing in, as the tube will last forever.
