Review and Swatches: Zoeva Mixed Metals Palette

I have wanted to try Zoeva eyeshadow palettes for the longest time. So when I finally managed to get my hands on my first palette; the Mixed Metals palette, I was super excited to try it out. And it was love at first swatch. Guys, I was blown away.

Inspired by the eternal search of beauty and natural precious minerals. Our ZOEVA Mixed Metals Palette reveals glittering shades in a metal kaleidoscope of copper, platinum and aluminum. Dig into multi-faceted colors with metallic reflections for precious, strong and dynamic eye makeup looks. Lower your eyelids to shine with the sun.

The eyeshadows are housed in a super slim, prettily designed cardboard compact, with a magnetic closure. The palette does not contain a mirror, but I don't consider that the biggest deal as I like to apply my makeup in a large mirror anyway.

The colours within this palette are right up my alley. It is a neutral eyeshadow palette of sorts; muted shades combined with pops of colour. This is a great palette for those of us that can find themselves using the same sort of brownish shades everyday; this range gives different shades to switch up our look in a way that is still wearable everyday.

As for the quality of the eyeshadows, these are honestly some of the best I have tried. Nine out of ten shades are highly pigmented, metallic finishes, and the other is a satin matte black. All shadows are finely milled, super soft and easy to apply. These shadows practically blend themselves, and there is little to no fallout. They also last well on the lids, with no fading or creasing.

As I expected, my favourite shades are Neo Brass, Rusty Steel, and Warm Silver, but super creamy and buttery Copper Plate has been getting a lot of love lately. Saying that though, I have been reaching for all of these shades, to experiment and switch up my typical daily look.

This eyeshadow palette is missing a few mattes for blending and to pop in the crease, but as they are available in most other palettes I don't think it's such a big deal. This palette is worth grabbing just to add a shimmer to your eye look, or a single shimmer shade can be blended all over the lid if you want an easy look.

The shadows in this palette, are as good, if not better quality than those in high-end palettes I have tried. I highly recommend this palette!

The shadows are paraben free, Mineral Oil Free, Fragrance Free and Phthalate Free. This palette is also super affordable at just $35 AUD.

Basically, after trying this palette out, I need all of the other Zoeva palettes in my life. Stat.
