Review: Sun Bum Sun Care

I was recently sent some Sun Bum Sun Care products to try out, and I have been loving them so much I thought I needed to share my thoughts with you!

Sun Bum is a small company in Cocoa Beach, Florida that started making products for their friends and family. Their products were so popular that they started selling to the general public, and now here they are, stocking their products in large pharmacies in Australia!

I love the packaging and name of Sun Bum! Their tagline 'for those that live and love in the sun' perfectly encapsulates the feel of this brand. Picture those long summer days that end with wild salty hair and sticky wrists from dripping icecream cones. I love the sun and surf vibe of this brand and their products, and feel it fits the lifestyle of many living in Australia, including me.

SPF 15 Original Spray Sunscreen and SPF 15 Original Sunscreen Lotion
These sunscreens are the bomb.com. They smell like summer (coconut), and are so non-sticky, non-greasy, and feel lovely on the skin. They give UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Protection and are Water Resistant for 80 Minutes. They are also Gluten Free / Paraben Free / Oil Free / PABA Free and Cruelty Free.
Both formulas contain the same active ingredients but are slightly different formulas. I would recommend the lotion if you are looking for a creamy, hydrating sunscreen, and the spray if you like the convenience and ease of simply spritzing on product and want a slightly more matte finish.
As for the products being SPF 15, and not SPF 30, I just wanted to remind everyone that SPF 15 still protects from 93% of UVB rays, while SPF 30 only protects 4% more, blocking 97% of UVB rays. SPF 15 still adequately protects from the sun, but for those that prefer SPF 30, Sun Bum also does a range of SPF 30 sunscreens!

'Cool Down' Hydrating After Sun Gel
If you are suffering from the aftermath of too much sun (ahem, post-camping adventures), I highly recommend this product. It is ultra cooling on the skin, especially when popped in the fridge beforehand.
This after sun gel is Gluten Free, Cruelty Free and 100% Vegan. It contains soothing and restoring aloe gel, rejuvenating tea tree leaf oil, and antioxidant rich vitamin E.
As well as being helpful for sunburn, this gel is helpful for any redness and skin inflammation. It will soothe and hydrate, as well as calm any skin irritation.

SPF 15 Lip Balm in Pomegranate
One of Sun Bum's biggest sellers, these lip balm are popular, and for good reason. This balm tastes sweet, smells yummy and is uber hydrating on the lips. It is also the perfect summer balm as it contains SPF 15 to protect those delicate lips from the harsh sun!

I am so glad that Sun Bum is available in Australia, and that I had the chance to try these products out. I will definitely be purchasing these when I run out!
