Review: Garbo & Kelly Master Of Illumination Kit

I am a massive highlighter junkie, so I am always excited to get my paws on more highlighter to test out. Today I am here to talk about Garbo & Kelly's Master Of Illumination Kit; a highlighting palette that I have been giving a lot of loving as of late.

Garbo & Kelly is an up-and-coming Australian cosmetics brand with Anastasia Beverly Hills vibes and packaging that makes me swoon. And guys, the gorgeous packaging isn't even the best part. The product inside is so incredible.

Garbo & Kelly's Highlighter palette contains four shimmer shades, and two matte shades, and I have actually been getting good use out of both. This palette contains shades that are best suited to those with light/medium skin tones. All six powders are ultra creamy and blend so effortlessly into the skin. They are soft and pigmented and aren't drying on the skin.

The two matte shades are designed to be used to highlight and brighten areas you desire, without the sparkly illumination. I find these powders perfect for setting my under eye area after I apply concealer, and setting my T Zone, while adding light to the area. I find them also great for setting my eye primer, and find my eyeshadows apply so much nicer.

The four shimmer shades are highly pigmented and honestly one of the best powder formulations I have tried. Even when I go overboard while applying these highlighters, I am not left with that obvious powder strip on my cheekbones. The formula melts into my skin, and the powdery-ness disappears, just leaving behind a killer highlight! I find all four shades are wearable on my skin, only needing to add a little of the lightest shade to the darkest to make it wearable. I also love wearing the darkest shade as an eyeshadow. I find all shades gorgeous worn alone, but prefer to layer different colours because I am a highlighter junkie, and like my highlight as intense as possible. All four shades are soft, intense, and not chunky at all. They are slightly glittery, which I personally love in a highlighter as it is necessary to create the most intense pay off.
