Underrated Products from Laura Mercier

I know that Laura Mercier is a well known brand in the beauty world; a cult favourite by many bloggers alike. However, it seems that the setting powders, primers and highlighters get all the love in the Laura Mercier world, and no-one seems to talk about the rest of Laura Mercier's range. I have no idea why that is, as I have recently discovered several products that are rarely talked about, that deserve to be put into the spotlight!

Eye Basics
This is an eye primer that can be used to camouflage eye imperfections such as veins and discolouration, and to create the perfect canvas for eye shadows and increase their longevity. I love this stuff! It gives my lids an even colour base and is a bit tacky when it is applied, which I like as I feel it helps my eyeshadow stay in place. I have the shade 'Linen' which is a perfect skincare colour for my pale skin. When I use this stuff prior to applying eyeshadow (I set it with a powder after applying), it really does make a difference in how long my eyeshadow stays where it should, and helps prevent it creasing.

Kohl Eye Pencil
I have this pencil in the shade brown copper, which is so gorgeous and wearable. I use this on my waterline and to tightline. I find this is perfect for creating a smoky eye look; it is soft and creamy and glides along my eyelid without tugging. It is so pigmented and is the perfect colour for everyday wear. As they are creamy they are also perfect for smudging and smoking. Can't say enough good things about this!

Velour Lovers Lip Colour
This is honestly one of the best lip formulas I have tried! I have the shade Cocoa Pout, which is described as a chocolate brown, but to me is more of a deep plum with brown undertones. I love this shade now that the cooler months are here. I love that it is buildable, whereby you can apply just a dot for a sheer wash of colour, or build it up to opaque colour. It is described as a satin matte formula, which I find true, and this is surely the most comfortable and moisturising satin matte formula I have tried. It stays well on the lips, only needing a touch up after eating, and doesn't bleed or sink into fine lines. I have been so impressed with this lipstick that I want to buy more in this formula!
